RLIF to hire two new executives

The RLIF is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill two roles, one based in the southern hemisphere and one in the northern hemisphere

Job Title: General Manager RLIF Operations. Location: UK based. Salary: £60-£80k.

Role: Permanent, full time.

 

Overview: A fantastic opportunity for an experienced sports administrator to govern and encourage the development of international rugby league at all levels. The successful candidate will report to the Chief Executive and will have global management responsibility for anti-doping, integrity, member eligibility and ongoing accreditation, maintenance of the international calendar, support of Board and sub-committee meetings, match sanctioning, GAISF/CGF/IOC membership, updating the RLIF Manual, maintenance of archive materials, administration of player awards including the Golden Boot, membership policy and member communication. Given the geographic distribution of member nations, the RLIF is targeting to increasingly support members by providing services digitally; the General Manager will lead this initiative.  

 

Candidates must be highly motivated with knowledge of Rugby League and international sport and proven experience of world and national governing bodies of sport.

 

Candidates will be expected to have excellent communications, including digital, and networking skills to enable effective shareholder relationships and maintain strong communication channels with all RLIF members.

Job Title: RLIF Southern Hemisphere General Manager. Location: Sydney. Salary: $140kAUD.

Role: Permanent, full time.

 

Overview: A fantastic opportunity for an experienced sports administrator to govern and encourage the development of international rugby league at all levels. The successful candidate will report to the Chief Executive and will have responsibility for overseeing programme management of the international game in the Southern Hemisphere. They will have a proven track record of planning and will have significant experience in delivering successful outcomes for complex situations involving multiple stakeholders. The role will require a highly collaborative approach, with an eye for detail and a good understanding of the interdependencies involved in planning. The role will also require the successful candidate to identify and deliver funds to enable the development of the sport and sustain the future of the international game, organise events and be an international ambassador for the sport, working with governments, governing bodies and assisting nations to develop the sport of rugby league.
